Escrow Program

The Leavenworth County Treasurer's office has implemented a program whereby any taxpayer can sign a contract to make monthly payments for their current taxes. There is an annual fee of $15 for this service. It is designed for any taxpayer to make 12 monthly payments, beginning in June and ending in May, in order to spread their tax liability over the entire year. The payments are taken directly from the taxpayer's bank account on the 5th of each month, or can be mailed in with coupons by the 10th of each month. You will receive your coupons in the mail after you sign up for the Escrow program.

The taxes are calculated using the current year's property valuation and the prior year's mill levy. Any overages will result in a refund or a carryover to the next year.

You may also use this program to pay delinquent taxes. Any payments will first be applied to any interest and penalties then will be applied to the outstanding taxes.
