The Leavenworth County Transfer Station has a brush site within our facility, for tree and bush trimmings. This service is provided for a fee. Brush does not need to be bundled. But must be free of trash and processed wood.
Leaves
We also accept grass clippings and leaves from Leavenworth County residents for free. Leavenworth County businesses can also bring leaves and grass clippings for a fee. Bags of leaves/grass will need to be emptied at the pile and bags kept.

nutrients to sandy soil and improves its ability to hold water. Residents may pick up ground mulch

for free, if they are loading it themselves. You may chose to have us load your mulch for a fee of $10 for three large scoops with our machinery. Whichever method you choose please drive onto the scale and let the operator know.

Recycling yard waste, like leaves and grass clippings, keeps valuable resources out of the landfill and puts them back to work creating healthy soil. We use the yard waste we collect to make compost, which is then used by home gardeners, farmers, landscapers and home owners. Compost is a natural plant food and soil component that absorbs excess rainwater, supports healthy plant roots, traps pollutants, and makes healthy soil. Our compost pile is free if you load it yourself. If you prefer to have us load it then it will have a $10 fee for 3 big scoops with our machinery. Either way you will come across the scale and let the operator know.
